16 Lovable Pictures of Baby Birds

Baby birds are dainty little creatures. There are two types of baby birds: fledglings and nestlings. Fledglings are babies that are learning to fly and can often be mistaken as orphans. Nestlings are delicate baby birds that still stay in the nest and let their mother or father take care of them. Baby birds are fun photography subjects because they are easy to find and tend not to stray too far from the nest. Below are 16 lovable photographs that show how sweet and fragile baby birds can be.

Some great shots, but the onus is on the photographer to take the time and actually identify the bird, even when it is a chick!
