A Source of Photography Inspiration

Like the pictures of their civilian counterparts, photos of miniature soldiers tell a story. Each of these shots hints at an adventure of glory, honor and courage, showing that even tiny things can be inspiring.

Ostriches are the fastest birds on land and have powerful legs with deadly kicks. Despite these formidable characteristics, however, ostriches are still goofy-looking animals. They can pretend to be graceful, but even with their majestic power and height, they still sometimes seem like overgrown ducks.

I think every new photographer goes through a number of stages. They’re milestones that an emerging pro must go through to mature both as an artist and a businessman. Each stage has its own challenges and lessons. And overcoming the challenges and learning the lessons becomes the key to becoming a successful photographer.

It can be frustrating being stuck in a city because of falling snow. Snow, however, also has its benefits. It transforms ordinary streets into beautiful sceneries and gives you an entirely new perspective on once familiar places.

Violet D’Art is a self-taught photographer from Bulgaria who loves expressionism, fine art and conceptual photographs. Her imaginative (self-)portraits depict various scenes and emotions, but they all share a certain moodiness. This dark touch works especially well with her bold red hair, a bright accent among shadows.

Dearclaudia is a photographer who was born in Lisbon, Portugal and now lives and works in Berlin, Germany.

This is a unique time-lapse presentation via a snow globe by Colin Mika. Around the Globe was shot over two weeks in six different cities. These cities include; Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Québec City, Montréal and London, England.

Geir Tønnessen is a photographer from Norway who keeps things simple, original, and puts a little bit of neat humor into his work.

Mohamed Ayyad is a 22 year old photographer and filmmaker currently studying at London College of Fashion. He describes his photos as self-portrayals, or in some form a reflection of a personal experience from his own life.
