I remember getting my first skateboard as a kid. I loved it. I rode it everywhere and thought someday I was going to be a professional skateboarder doing amazing tricks and incredible stunts off stairs and railings. But when I rode my skateboard to the top of a few stairs, I quickly realized that it wasn’t going to happen. Still, skateboarding was one of my favorite things to do even if I didn’t do cool tricks.
