This is a neat short time lapse clip of the early morning fog lifting when the sun comes up. Although it can be hard to get it up really early to catch these ideal moments, many times it’s totally worth catching one of the best times of days for photography.

Aging in America: Maxine’s Death

Good photography captures more than just a great picture, it also brings out the feelings and emotions in a situation. This is an excerpt from the PBS documentary “Aging in America: The Years Ahead,” which explores what it means to grow old in today’s contemporary society. The quality isn’t perfect but the pictures are incredibly powerful. Death is a somber experience and this short clip displays some emotional images of two partners being separated by death after 70 years of marriage.

I highly recommend passing this on and then taking the time to sit down and watch the hour long documentary which has won numerous awards. Check out the trailer here.

This is a promotional video project that went unaired and has all the branding for the unnamed company removed. It’s about Erik and his son Derek, their imagination, and love for photography. It’s a really fun watch and the creative team that put it together did a really great job.
