A Source of Photography Inspiration

This review was followed by comments and emails from a number of photography enthusiasts who said that use FX Photo Studio as their effects to-go app on Mac. Moreover, many said that FX Photo Studio was actually the first app they bought from the App Store. With such a positive feedback, we decided to spend a little more time with this app and test its capabilities further.

We recently talked about Snapheal, which I find is one the better photo editors available on App Store today. In this review we’re taking a look at FX Photo Studio, the app by the same guys, who made Snapheal. So what’s good and bad about FX Photo Studio?

ColorStrokes is another app by MacPhun, the team behind award winning FX Photo Studio for Mac. Unlike FX Photo Studio with its huge array of photo effects, filters and frames, ColorStrokes is a one trick pony, made for a single purpose – help you create stunning images with selective colors.

Snapheal is the photo editor for Mac that first showed up on the App Store in December 2011. It was updated few days ago to version 2.1, bringing the brand new look, noticeable performance boost and the whole set of new handy tools.

While there are countless eBooks out there on photography, it can be a daunting task to filter through them all. Which books are worth their price tag, and will you walk away with the knowledge you need to improve your photography?

With the transition to the digital medium, many photographers are now relying on more contemporary means to help them plan and organize their photography shoots. One of the most beneficial and reliable programs I’ve come across is The Photographer’s Ephemeris, which takes out all the guesswork of natural light by showing you where and when the sun will appear in the sky.
