A Source of Photography Inspiration

This is a sweet time-lapse of Los Angeles at night by Colin Rich.

This time-lapse by Alex Cherney is a result of of almost 1.5 years of work, 31 hours of taking images during six nights on Southern Ocean Coast in Australia. It turned out to be spectacular.

Here’s another incredible time-lapse by Randy Halverson. He’s got some serious talent with capturing these amazing scenes. You can find more of his time-lapses here.

TSO, a landscape photography from Norway, just recently returned from a trip to the Artic and he’s come back with another amazing time-lapse video.

This is production footage Tom Lowe shot over the summer for his debut film, “TimeScapes,” a modern portrait of the American Southwest. He used Canon and Red MX cameras.

Ever wondered what it was like to do a time-lapse on top of El Teide, Spain’s highest mountain? Terje Sorgjerd recently spent 10 days there and put one together that includes incredible night and daytime sequences of stars, clouds, mountains, and a sandstorm.

So maybe I’m just into time-lapse features this week or am just finding a lot of cool ones lately. As most of you know, the volcano Eyjafjallajökull, pronounced…uh…nevermind…recently blew it’s top creating havoc for most of Europe’s skies. Fortunately though for Sean Stiegemeier, it meant taking a trip up to Iceland, where this crazy mountain was located, and creating one of the sweetest volcano time-lapses out there.
