A Source of Photography Inspiration

Larence Tanjuaquio from Oceanside, California, has worked in fashion photography for years. For his latest photo shoot, he used smoke balls to create a hazy cloud behind the model.

The official title of Rich Kuras‘s commercial video is simple: ‘Duality – a comparison between a black leopard and a black house cat’, shot on a Phantom Flex camera. The not-so-simple truth behind the film, however, is: ‘how all house cats see themselves – a journey into the imagination of a cat.’

Walker Lukens just released this incredibly meticulous stop-motion music video filmed around Central Park and Brooklyn using hundreds of vintage Polaroid pictures. The film was provided by a company called The Impossible Project, a group of former Polaroid employees in the Netherlands who saved the last Polaroid production plant from being shut down and now produce film for vintage cameras that would otherwise have been obsolete.

On Tuesday, June 26th, 2012, I was one of thirty filmmakers spread throughout Yosemite National Park to create this portrait of the park and the people who visit and work there. Every time I visit this place there is something new to take in and experience, but this film really made me aware of all the different happenings on any given day in Yosemite.

For this film Andrew used the new (and very scarce) Blackmagic Camera. Shooting in RAW really afforded him the ability to do some amazing color correct in post production.
