Emotion Photography by Roanne Silver

Posted by Emily Hildebrand | 3 Comments

Roanne Silver strives to create photography that demonstrates feelings, and though the style and content of her work varies, what remains constant is the fact that she takes images based upon an emotion, or perhaps something that is on her mind at the moment. She tries to do this in a subtle way, experimenting with shot type, coloring, lighting, and the actual items featured in the shot. Roanne uses both film and digital mediums. Her interest in film photography rests mainly upon its nostalgic connotations. She hopes to continue her work as she starts her Photography Degree this year, and eventually solidify a niche for herself.
