From Paris to New York – Travel Photography by Robert Crum

After graduating with a master’s in poetry, Robert Crum was contracted to write two photo essay children’s books. He volunteered to shoot the photos himself and, in the process, he discovered his complete love of photography. He’s especially interested in landscape and travel photography. “My metier is evocative images of nature and travel,” he writes. “I try to capture those magical moments when, in the words of poet Richard Wilbur, ‘the air is awash with angels.’”

I think Dining by the Tower is my favourite. It’s so hard to take a photograph of the Eiffel Tower which is unique, and that image certainly has those qualities.
