Galerie BMG – Contemporary Photography
Monday, June 22nd, 2009 by Nate Kay
Contemporary photography tends to be centered around the abstract and unusual. You’ll see subjects you don’t normally see everyday on Flickr. Photographers who are interested in this type of photography tend to have a very creative thinking style and can put together a very beautiful but different piece of work. Many of them prefer to be called artists rather than photographers, and like any photography interest, you can find some very impressive portfolios.

Galerie BMG
A small photo gallery in Woodstock, NY is dedicated to showcasing photographers dedicated to this contemporary fine art photography. Galerie BMG has been open since 2005 by Woodstock photographer Bernard Gersen. They display a wide variety of styles and approaches every month that allow visitors to see the creative genius of both established and emerging photographers. You can find the art gallery open to the public Friday through Monday, 11 am to 6 pm, but you can also contact them to set up a private showing during the week.
Here are a few of the contemporary photographers that have showcased their work at Galerie BMG. You can follow the links through each photographer name and their photos to browse through many more examples of their unique photography as well as you can find many more artists featured by Galerie BMG here.
