Lost Faces – Urban Photography by Mikhail Palinchak

Mikhail Palinchak lives in Kiev, Ukraine, a city that is also one of his major photography subjects. As a street photographer focused on urban abstracts, he sees Kiev from a different perspective, noticing unique patterns and shadows that most would miss. His series ‘Lost Faces‘ highlights one reoccurring image that he sees on walls, trashcans, streets and sidewalks: a simple face. Whether the faces are smiling, frowning or just looking confused, Mikhail spots and captures them before they disappear. His curious collection might make you look at windows and satellite dishes a bit differently, as you search for lost faces in your own city.

Love these! That’s the beauty of photography – seeing mundane, everyday scenes and objects in a new way. Thanks for bringing a smile to my otherwise “mundane” afternoon!
