Magical Reality – Creative Portraits by Katia Romanova
Katia Romanova began her 365 project last year, and although she hasn’t finished it yet, her burst of creativity between February and March 2012 produced a set of strikingly imaginative portraits. Her photos are grounded in reality, but then with a twist–extra arms, for example, or levitating long hair. Using backdrops of water, trees, bed sheets, and surreal black or white spaces, her models can seem like modern Greek deities, stuck between nature, heaven, and the bedroom.
