This is crazy awesome. François Vautier put an ant colony into his scanner and scanned the nest once a week for 5 years. He created an incredible time-lapse of this project with some sweet music by Infected Mushroom.

Here is a short documentary study about Dr. Bruce Churchill and his battle with ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The incredible black and white photos that are shot with the voiceovers from him and his wife tell a good story about the struggles he’s dealt with and how he’s coping with the disease.

This time-lapse caught my eye with it’s great music, sweet effects, and an amazing beach scene. Directed by Berkanism, 2600 photos were shot with a 5D Mark II for this project. I think my absolute favorite thing in this time-lapse is the moving clouds.

Next time you’re driving somewhere with people in the car and you pass a field of hay bales, yell “hay!” and point excitedly towards them. Some will get it right away, others will not and keep asking you what are you pointing at. Some will think it’s funny, others will call you immature.
