Wild New Mexico – Landscape Photography by Andrea Hazel-Ihlefeld
Andrea Hazel-Ihlefeld is originally from Pennsylvania, but her life as a photographer only truly began in New Mexico. The dramatic desert landscapes, fierce thunderstorms and incredible night skies in New Mexico provide endless inspiration for Andrea’s work. In order to get the best landscape shots, she gets up at sunrise, hikes into the wilderness and treks up 10,000ft mountains for a perfect view. She’ll go out in any type of weather–rain, sun, cold and heat–just to get a chance to take beautiful pictures.

How do you take a picture of lightning were so perfect?

Hi there Stephanie:
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for sharing Andrea’s photographs with us. Though it’s really hard to say I believe my favorite is Sandia Field Light.
Beautiful photos or not my favorite part is your little “I read magazines for pictures” quote on your bio. That is just perfect.

Thanks!

Outstanding images. I can imagine how much of hardwork and skill these images might have taken. Thanks for sharing.
